We are currently seeking a Contract Nurse Practitioner or Physician to join our team and support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with hearing healthcare services for our veterans. This is a unique opportunity to provide essential care to a valued and deserving population while working under a government contract.
In this role, you will perform Compensation and Pension Examinations on Veterans, Complete a thorough review of medical records on a cloud-based EHR, Conduct physical assessments based on specific disability claims, Submit information gathered through an online portal for the VA to review as part of a compensation/pension claim, All exams will take place at approved facilities with proper equipment and internet access provided, If you have your own practice you can conduct these exams with a flexible schedule that works with your current patient scheduling.
Must Haves:
- Doctorate in Contract Nurse Practitioner or Physician from an accredited institution
- A Master’s degree is acceptable with national certification ( MD or DNP)
- Active state licensure as an Nurse Practitioner or Physician (or the ability to obtain licensure in the state of assignment)
- Experience with hearing aid fitting and diagnostic testing, with a focus on patient-centered care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing excellent care to veterans
- Previous experience working with government contracts or the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is a plus, though not required.
There is no diagnosing or prescribing involved, your role will focus solely on evaluating previous issues. Specialists will document in our cloud-based EMR/DR system, which is designed to be highly user-friendly. Evaluations typically take about 20-30 minutes. As a cash-based reimbursement model, there is no insurance, and payments are made via direct deposit on the 1st and 15th of each month.
